Lensbaby Composer with Tilt Transformer
Lensbabys are the photographic equivalent of puppies. And just as a puppy can turn the heart of the toughest of blowhards into mush, Lensbabys have a tendency of pulling the MTF charts out from under the starchiest of optical snobs simply because they inject a great measure of fun into the act of picture taking.
Lensbaby's latest imaging product is the Lensbaby Tilt Transformer, which allows you to perform a variety of controllable selective-focusing tricks using Nikon lenses, including Nikon G-series AF lenses.
Available in two flavors—the Lensbaby Tilt Transformer for Micro 4/3 digicams (Panasonic Lumix G Micro System & Olympus Pen) and the Lensbaby Tilt Transformer for Sony NEX digicams—both versions enable you to create a number of tilt shift-like, selective-focus effects, depending how far or near off-center you tilt the lens and where your f-stop is set.
Designed ball-and-socket style, the Lensbaby Tilt Transformer enables you to swivel the lens twice as far off-axis than traditional tilt-shift optics, not to mention with a greater variety of focal-length options to choose from.
If you do not own any Nikon lenses you can join the party by purchasing the Lensbaby Composer with Tilt Transformer, which is a two-part affair consisting of a Lensbaby Composer Special Effects Lens (50mm equivalent) and the new Lensbaby Tilt Transformer, which together allow you to tilt, swivel, and shoot 'til the cows come home.
Like the stand-alone Tilt Transformer, the Composer/Tilt Transformer combo is also available in two flavors: the Lensbaby Composer Tilt Transformer for 4/3-format digicams and the Lensbaby Composer with Tilt Transformer for Sony NEX cameras.
