B&H Prospectives: Veteran Portraits with Stacy Pearsall

Creator of the Veterans Portrait Project, former combat veteran and photographer Stacy Pearsall spends the day photographing several generations of military veterans. From a chance encounter at a VA hospital, her initial idea to schedule photo sessions instead of her own doctors’ appointments developed into a full-blown project, whose goal is to record the essence and stories of the men and women who have served our country in wartime. Watch as Pearsall presents her images, video clips of her portrait sessions, as well as talking about the therapeutic value that making these pictures has had on her life.
