I purchased the 1DX Mark II from B&H, as well as several other cameras, lenses and equipment. 

I would like to purchase or order this camera as soon as it is available.

Please will the CFast cards work on the camera?

Unfortunately, CFast and CFexpress are not compatible with one another. The 1D X Mark III will require new CFexpress media. The good news is that CFexpress is faster and enables new possibilities with the Mark III.

does that mean that XQD, Cfast and CFexpress are not compatible with one another after upgrade of firmware for any Canon or Nikon cameras today using XQD cards?

Being that the CFExpress updates haven't been released just yet, it would be hard to say whether XQD cards can still work in cameras that have been updated.
