Information is presented about how this camera's imaging assets perform, including its 24.2MP DX-format CMOS sensor and EXPEED 4 image processor, as well as a bit on its 11-point autofocus system, continuous shooting rate, and video recording capabilities. The new AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 VR II kit lens is also introduced, as well as some points on the overall camera body design, its ergonomics, and ability to accept the WU-1a Wireless Mobile Adapter to provide Wi-Fi connectivity.
