Godox Powers Up with Knowled MG1200Bi LED Light
12/21/2022Godox has released the MG1200-Bi LED, the most powerful light to join the Knowled lineup to date. Built for productions requiring bright, durable sources, this bi-color LED features full-power draw across color temperatures, 0.1% stepless dimming, and IP54-certified weather resistance. Whether you’ll be lighting a spacious interior or night exterior, the MG1200-Bi promises impressive and consistent output.
The MG1200-Bi features a CCT range from 2800K to 6500K with CRI and TLCI ratings of 96, promising accurate, repeatable color. Maximum output is possible across the entire temperature range and is adjustable from 0-100% in stepless increments of 0.1%. Four dimming curves are built in (linear, s-curve, exponential, and logarithmic). Eleven customizable FX modes allow users to simulate flash, lightning, cloudy, broken bulb, TV, candle, fire, fireworks, explosion, welding, and SOS effects.

On-light adjustments are possible via four buttons and a control knob on the back of the unit, paired with a bright, color LCD screen. The MG1200-Bi can also be controlled wirelessly via separately available 2.4 GHz remotes, a Bluetooth app, LumenRadio CRMX, or DMX. With the MG1200-Bi, Godox also introduces a new mounting system that recognizes accessories when they are attached, preventing improper use. A 45-degree reflector is included and additional 15-, 30-, and 60-degree reflectors are available separately.
An included clamp attaches the light’s control box to a stand to streamline rigs and an 8-meter power cable offers enough length to provide power across a variety of mounting scenarios safely. The MG1200-Bi is IP54 certified so it can endure the challenges of outdoor sets including rain and fog. A large, internal fan works to dissipate heat for prolonged use at high powers. A padded carrying case is included for safe storage and transport.
