The Husky M50 40-Channel Network Video Recorder from Milestone is a customizable rack-mounted solution that combines robust industrial-grade hardware and XProtect video management software (VMS) for advanced installations with sophisticated surveillance needs. It is compatible with a wide range of cameras, XProtect add-ons (e.g., POS and ATM video integration with XProtect Transact), and third-party integrations (e.g., video analytics). Automatic camera discovery detects and configures any newly added cameras.
The Husky M50 offers interactive and multi-layered maps for a graphical overview of the surveillance installation for prompt response. A map function is also integrated with Alarm Manager for a consolidated overview of security and system alarms. The NVR features advanced video search tools for quickly locating recordings. It also supports two-way audio for message broadcasts or direct communication.
Husky M50 offers dual, independently configurable video streams to optimize servers and network infrastructure. It also features built-in motion detection and offers remote access to video for faster response to incidents. This unit can be further expanded to support more IP cameras with additional licensing (available separately).
The NVR supports Milestone’s services such as Customer Dashboard to enable your installer to monitor the health of your system and proactively resolve technical issues. It also supports Milestone’s Interconnect that allows it to be linked with XProtect Corporate software (not included) to gain central surveillance operation across geographically dispersed sites. The NVR features 8 x 3TB HDDs for a total storage of 24TB. It also features a 32GB SSD for the VMS and operating system.
