The B+W 37mm #900 Rubber Lens Hood is a screw-in type folding rubber lens hood that is designed for use with normal-length and short zoom lenses. It helps to minimize stray light from reaching the lens in order to prevent flare and ghosting. The matte black grooved surface diminishes inner reflections and the rubberized construction adds an extra layer of protection to the lens against bumps or jolts.

Did I lose my lens hood? Ah, no. The kit 12-32 mm kit lens on the Lumix G100 does not come with a hood. It's kinda like a car sold without tires. Anyway, the B & W collapsible hood works fine. The only rub on these rubber hoods - they tend to dry out and deform after a while. We'll see.

It works, and was a lot less money then the Olympus plastic lens hood. Which tends to break it's mounts.

Is this threaded on the front as well as the rear?
Yes, it has threads front and back. Back side for a filter and front side to attach a lens cap (or perhaps another filter).

Is this compatible with Olympus 45mm 1.8 lens?
Is this compatible with Olympus 45mm 1.8 lens?
Yes. It works perfectly fine with the 45mm, no vignetting. I also have a protective haze filter between the lens and the lens shade, and this additional thickness situates the lens shade just a little bit further out from the lens itself. So, there is a lot of latitude.

Will thus fit the 14-42 Olympus kit lens?
Will thus fit the 14-42 Olympus kit lens?
This will work on the 14-42mm, you do see the edge of the hood the slightest bit in the corners when the lens is at 14mm.

Will this work on the Olympus 45mm 1.8 lens? Thanks
It will physically fit, but it is possible that you would see the edges of it in the frame.

question
will this fit on a Panasonic HC-V750EB-K Full HD Camcorder ?
Yes, this lens hood is compatible with the 49mm filter thread on the Panasonic HC-V750EB-K, however, keep in mind that you may experience some vignetting when zoomed out all of the way with this camcorder and lens hood combination.

question
Will this work with Zeiss 35 mm distagon without vignetting?
We use this hood on a SONY A6300 16-50 powered lens. The hood is visible in frame at the wide angle end of the lens scale. This is not satisfactory and disappointing as it was B&H that recommended this hood for the lens.

question
Do they fit the Fujifilm X100-series?
the lens hood fits my Sony A6000. It can only be used from 50mm and beyond because it vignets. I do not use it.
