The GT-2532S 6X Systematic 3-Section Carbon Fiber Tripod Legs with Series 5 Systematic Ball Head from Gitzo is a B&H Kit consisting of a Series 2 Gitzo tripod - the smallest tripods in the Systematic range - paired with Gitzo's proprietary Systematic Ball Head.
The legs feature improved carbon fiber tubing - which is stronger, lighter, and just as resistant as its 12-layer predecessor, with good torsional rigidity. Carbon "6X" is manufactured using a complex, 3-D process, weaving 6 layers of carbon fiber into smooth, solid constructed tubes. This tripod kit can operate at a minimum height of just 8", a maximum height of 57.6", and has a maximum load capacity of 55 lb. Each one of its 3 section legs is secured by Gitzo's patented G-Locks, insuring maximum stability as well as dust, dirt, and water resistance. It's designed for DSLRs with lenses up to 300mm - it's also ideal for lightweight camcorders and spotting scopes.
The included Series 5 Systematic Ball Head is a low-profile friction ball head that fits into the shoulder of a Systematic tripod. The D-profile head is Arca-type compatible, and allows the included QR plate to be snapped into the head from above, a faster alternative to sliding in the dovetail plate from the side.
The low-profile design allows a camera to be mounted very close to the top of your tripod, giving you optimal support. It can be mounted to any tripod with a 3/8"-16 stud, or it can be fitted into the upper casting of any Gitzo Systematic series tripod. The head rotates a full 360° around the central axis and tilts +/-28° laterally. A hydraulic locking system allows fast control and smooth locking speed.
This ball head also features a Systematic safety catch, which - when used with select Systematic tripods - prevents the head, and any gear attached to it, from accidentally falling out of the tripod.
