Educate and entertain your kids with the blue 7" Kindle Fire Kids Edition Tablet. This tablet comes with Amazon's Kid-Proof Case and features Amazon FreeTime, a kid-friendly interface that allows parents to limit what their children can access.

The tablet runs the Fire OS 5 operating system and boasts a 7" 1024 x 600 multi-touch IPS display. It supports multitasking and seamless app to app transitions, thanks to its 1GB of RAM and 1.3 GHz quad-core processor. This model also provides 16GB of flash storage and unlimited free cloud storage for photos, videos, and Amazon Prime media. For extra space, a microSD card slot lets you add up to 128GB of storage. The Fire Kids Edition features a VGA front and a 2MP rear camera for photography and video chatting.

For connectivity, the Kindle Fire features 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, which gives you access to the Internet from anywhere there's a Wi-Fi hotspot or from your home wireless network. It also provides Bluetooth wireless technology, with support for A2DP, so you can use Bluetooth to connect peripheral devices or stream music to Bluetooth speakers. The tablet is equipped with a rechargeable battery that can last up to seven hours for all-day entertainment.

FreeTime
The Amazon FreeTime interface was built to make tablets more kid-friendly. Icons and fonts change for ease of use, and kids can navigate visually based on characters or topics. Parents can create up to four individual child profiles and choose which of their apps, books, movies, and TV shows will be accessible to each child. Kids are restricted from using the web browser, making in-app purchases, and accessing email and social media. You can set daily time limits for tablet use, or restrict certain categories like games and videos while leaving unlimited time for reading. Parents can even set categories to unlock upon the completion of other tasks, so they can require an hour of reading before their child can play games.
FreeTime photo software lets kids take pictures and give them a personal touch with stickers and drawings. Parents can easily print, share, and archive their kids' handiwork.
When a parent enters their password, the device exits FreeTime and functions as a regular Kindle Fire tablet.
1-Year FreeTime Unlimited Subscription
The Kindle Fire Kids Edition comes with a year-long subscription to FreeTime Unlimited, a service that bundles content geared towards kids aged three to ten. Books, movies, TV shows, educational apps, and games are curated for kids so you don't have to.

The Kid-Proof Case is designed to protect the tablet against the drops and bumps caused by kids at play. It's designed for light weight and durability, and the oversized edges are rounded to aid small hands.
