Canon's EF 24mm f/1.4L Ultrasonic lens is a venerable, indispensable tool amongst news photographers and photojournalists demanding a fast, reliable and high-quality wide-angle lens. Constructed completely from lead-free glass, it's the first EF lens to include Replicated Aspherical and Ultra-low dispersion lens elements. The former works to suppress image distortion and spherical aberrations, while the latter dramatically reduces lateral chromatic aberrations which are often observed with wideangle lenses. The result is a remarkably high-resolution, distortion-free image over the entire focusing image of the lens.
