Velbon QB-4W Quick Release Plate
The Velbon QB-4W Quick Release Plate fits the Videomate-404, 504, CX-444, 460, 470, 544, 690, 888, DF-MINI, DF-50, S-4000, V7000, V-9000 tripods, and features a 1/4"-20 camera screw with a video pin.
A quick release plate can be kept attached to the camera's base and allows the user to quickly and easily attach or remove the camera from the tripod without having to waste time fumbling with the threaded mount.

it was great to finally find a place that had this platform I looked everywhere on the internet and idaho falls and salt lake city but no one had one. This platform is nothing special but if you need one it is nice to have. Now I can use it to steady my spotting scope when spotting for animals and photography.

I lost the quick release plate from my Ambico tripod. It is not a high-dollar tripod but I do not use it often enough to justify a new one. The QB-4W was my alternative. It fits my tripod securely but it is not as easy to get in to postion as the original plate (hence not five star). I am very pleased with the product.
