Throughout the history of photography, the commercial studio was dominated by the large format view cameras, due mainly to their ability to fully control the shape of the image. Now, the medium format camera can be as a versatile tool for product photography thanks to the Horseman VCC.
The Horseman View Camera Converter (VCC) attaches to many medium format SLR camera bodies via a special adapter ring. Once the camera is in place, the photographer may use swing, tilt, shift, and rise and fall movements which were previously unavailable.
The VCC gives the medium format photographer new control over depth of field and perspective distortion. The tilts and swings provide total sharpness over an entire image plane, even at the widest apertures. The rise, fall and shift correct the shape -- eliminating converging verticals.
