The Rolls VP29 is a phono/turntable preamplifier with provisions for line level output. The VP29 is designed for use with amplifiers, mixers or stereo systems that do not provide turntable inputs.
The preamp features dual RCA phone inputs, ground terminal connection and dual RCA stereo line level outputs. A separate 1/4" stereo line level output is provided for added flexibility. Although the unit is DC powered (AC adapter included), its compact design make it both unobtrusive and portable.

Comments about Rolls VP29 - Phono Preamp:
I had a receiver that didn't have phono inputs. Rather than buy another receiver, I bought the Rolls VP29.I hooked it up in minutes (literally) and can now hear the wonderful sound of vinyl again.

Comments about Rolls VP29 - Phono Preamp:
Used this to replace a cheap Radioshack preamp that had no grounding post. This preamp sounds great, very clean and very quite. It seemed to have a better S/N ration than other comparable pre-amp boxes and it's made in the USA with solid build quality. This is perfect if you want to use your turntable with a set of powered speakers or if your receiver lacks a phono input. it's also very small and easy to hide once you have it hooked up.

Comments about Rolls VP29 - Phono Preamp:
For people with record collections, who own a receiver that doesn't have a photo input, this is the ideal, low-cost solution. It allows you to use a record player (turntable) with the inputs your receiver already has. Installation took about five minutes, and the unit provided good, clean sound.

Comments about Rolls VP29 - Phono Preamp:
This preamp is absolutely awesome. It was easy to install, and works without any issue. As far as the signal from a turntable to a modern amplifier, I cannot notice a difference (no hum or extra background noise).

Comments about Rolls VP29 - Phono Preamp:
I use the VP29 to transfer vinyl into the digital world. It is small and resides quietly behind a power strip. It's predecessor, a "DJ" style phono preamp costing about $75 pales in comparison. You cannot beat spending [$] for general transfers to digital. I own another Rolls product and I'm equally impressed.

I use this phono preamp for basic purposes of sampling off records for electronic music. It works great for the value but I'm not an expert by any means. However, it gives a clean signal, great value for the price.

Comments about Rolls VP29 - Phono Preamp:
I bought the VP29 to use in digitizing my LP collection for storage on my computer and to listen to through iTunes. Looked at some other pre-amps, but the VP29 seemed to have the best combination of quality and features for the price.
Set up was quick and easy. I attached the phono outputs to the inputs on the VP29, and the outputs on the VP29 to an RCA-to-mini jack Y cable. I plugged that into the line-in jack on my HP PC. SOund is great, with minimal hum.
I use Audio Cleaning Lab 14 to create and touch up the MP3 files. The 60Hz hum filter removes the hum, and it has crackle and pop filters as well as a "brilliance" filter to breathe some life into well-worn LPs.
All in all, a solid little unit.
