Whenever you have to carry your camera outside your bag, these straps provide the same non-slip security as a Domke Shoulder Strap. They come with the hardware needed to attach to any SLR. QR models feature twist-proof quick release extensions. Swivel clips keep the straps lying flat, untangled and easy to buckle/unbuckle. Adjustable length up to 42" (107cm).
NOTE: This strap is 1.5" wide.

Here's a new concept, products that actually work! I certainly didn't think this would make much difference on my camera & only got it because I hate the original Canon straps (40D w/ grip & 1D Mark III) & if Domke makes a version of what I'm looking for it's pretty much guaranteed that I'll go with them. So anyway the rubber strips on the underside of the strap are absolutely perfect & actually hold the camera in place, like, seriously. No other camera strap I've used has done that so incredibly well plus it's sewn in as part of the strap so it will NEVER peel off. Next the strap itself is the usual amazing Domke quality with enough strength to hold anything you'll EVER strap to it & it's such a simple, non-LookAtTheModelOfMyCameraBeforeYouStealIt style unlike the usual OEM straps. No big bright logo, no brand advertisement, just a simple sturdy strap that will probably last you a lifetime. After receiving mine I went out immediately & bought 3 more for the rest of my camera bodies (30D, Rebel XTi & Elan 7n). Another thing that is great about this item is the way it ALWAYS lays flat over your shoulder. You don't have to straighten it out before you hang it around your neck or arm because the quick release buckles twist like they do on Domke's awesome bags (btw, this is basically a smaller version of the famous straps attached to the Domke shoulder bags, everything is the same except for width).
I have at least one camera on my shoulder at all times throughout the day, usually two (one camera hung over each shoulder) and I didn't realize how wonderful a good strap can feel until I had one.
*note:* There is no padding on these straps & they DO NOT stretch like some of the "bouncy" straps that us Photojournalists despise so much so if you need padding or a "bouncy" strap either figure out a DIY way to add a pad to this or maybe look elsewhere. Part of what makes these straps so sturdy & long-lasting is the way their built & anything added would compromise that. Plus Domke's style has always been strong, simple, low-key, durable photography bags & gear so it wouldn't fit with their idea's i suppose.

I wanted to check "no" stars but I can't...
Bought a pair within the last four months. Recently, I noticed fraying on the webbing attached to the rings supplied by Domke to attach to my cameras. Today, the webbing worked its way out of the rings and the camera dropped to the ground shattering the filter and shade and the zoom is totally stiff from the crash.
In more than 30 years of shooting, I've never had a strap or its hardware fail until now. What a mess this has made of my camera and lens! Stay away from these defective products! I've contacted the manufacturer and will see what happens...

I think the Camera straps with a quick release is a fantastic strap is a must and a great advantage to most photographers

Doesn't look fancy, but performs well. The rubber stitching keeps it from sliding off your shoulders.
The quick release is also reliable and wont accidentally "unclip" from the strap like I feared. Truly, I like the Domke straps better than I like their bags.

Bought as a replacement for my 7D strap. Is less conspicuous and more comfortable than the original 7D strap. The rubber grip and quick release features are also nice

Comments about Domke 1.5" Web Camera Strap with Swivel Quick Release (Black):
I've used this on DSLRs for a few years and love it. The strap is much more discreet than the camera manufacturers' straps and doesn't shout "I'm carrying a $$$$ camera". It's comfortable and I like the narrower width, and have never missed the lack of padding, even when using heavy L-series lenses. The swivels also prevent twisting of the strap and allow it to be quickly detached, which can be helpful for shooting with a tripod etc. Construction is very high quality. Overall, a great product and the only strap that I will consider using.

In 20 years of using the cheap straps that came with my cameras, I've never had a strap fail. I bought this Domke in December 2010[...] I was looking for something durable that could support a heavy telephoto lens and stay on my shoulder. I was shooting yesterday and the strap unhooked, sending my Canon 5D Mark ii and 24-70mm L lens tumbling to the ground. A cracked Tiffen filter protected my lens. I am terrified to use this strap again. I gave it one star only because there is no option for no stars.

I've tried alot of camera straps and the only two I really like is this domke strap and one by tamrac. I usually buy the domke because the swivel quick release just puts it over the top. It feels good the second you have a camera attached to it unlike neoprene straps that to me just feel unreliable and strange. This strap is like a pair of levis - it feels good and they never go out of fashion because they are always in style.
P.S. I wish I could send nikon the camera strap that they give you with the camera and get twenty or thirty dollars back. I've already spent thousands of dollars on your camera that has your name emblazoned on it what makes you think I want to give you even more free advertising.

No flashy lettering, sturdy, serious camera strap. A strap you can rely on in the harshest of conditions.
Comments about Domke 1.5" Web Camera Strap with Swivel Quick Release (Black):
This strap feels secure. I like the rubber woven into the strap. It doesn't slip like other straps. The bottom line is I wanted something that didn't advertise what camera I was using. I will say getting the 1.5" is worth it. I wouldn't want a strap that is thinner than this.

I've probably owned a dozen of these over the years, with everything from a Leica M6 to a big SLR. It's strong, comfortable, good looking and long lasting. Who could ask for more?

I've tried quite a few different straps through the years. Domke is the most comfortable so far. The swivel function works perfectly, as does the rubberized underside that keeps the strap firmly on my shoulder. I now use Gripper 1" and 1.5" straps on all my cameras. Definitely worth the few dollars they cost.

Comfortable strap. Adjustable length is a great plus as is the rubberized underside of the strap.
Stays in place, doesn't get in the way and won't twist.

I prefer the discreet design of this strap to the Canon strap that came with my camera. The swivel quick release is also useful when you just want to grip the camera without having the whole strap wrapped around your hands. I would definitely buy this again if needed.

Simple black strap that does not scream "I own XYZ brand".
I own two Domke bags and this strap is no disappointment. As good as the bags.
Love the swivel attachments and the fact that along with the quick release they are made of metal. Feels safer.
Sturdy construction. Feels like it'll last a lifetime.
Not padded but the 1.5" width compensates for that. Remember that I use it with an E-PL1 with Panasonic 20mm lens mounted. I can wear the camera all day and do not feel it at all.

Canon and Nikon want your neck. They love the prosumers who run adds for them. The fact is for a few bucks you can have a more functional strap and not look like a gumba.
I'm not going to try to convert you, I'm telling you, buy this strap you will love it.

Very good quality, comfortable, and the swivels are a nice addition. I would have like to have seen the distance between camera and swivel to have been short so I can remove the strap without having much strap hanging from the camera, but that is a minor thing.
