Easy to assemble, and great to use with a variety of cameras, this flexible copy stand makes even difficult shots (of books or manuscript pages for example) easy. Sturdy, neutral colors, and useful for a lot of different applications, scientific and artistic alike.

question

Is it good for cut out animation?
Asked by: Anonymous
If the cut outs for the animation are very flat it will work well. But if not you can get some shadows that might not work well.

question

Is a 5D film/photography camera too heavy for this copystand?
Asked by: Anonymous
Yes it is a bit beyond the stand specifications. Not that the stand will break but you will have to balance the camera. As curious as this can seem at first, a camera like a Canon 5D weights much more on its right side so this create a torque which is beyond the grip of this stand mount. Hence the camera will not stay level in my experience. Smaller cameras like a mirrorless or small DSLR will be fine.

question

Is it possible to use with an i phone?
Asked by: Joseph W.
Yes... but you may want buy at least a tripod adapter for the iphone. If you want to center the lens a cheap macro or nodal slider may help too. Also consider that the iphone lens is a wide angle (29mm equiv.) so you will be working quite low at half or less of the stand height. Lamps can be rotated to be lower if needed!
