Elinchrom Mini Octa Lite Bank Softbox for Flash Only - 39" (100cm)
The 39" Mini Octa features a rotating speed ring mount for exact angle positioning, spring loaded self-locking struts for fast, easy set-up, and durable snap fasteners to quickly attach the inner diffuser.
Like all Elinchrom light modifiers, the geometrics are precisely engineered to the focal length and light pattern unique to all Elinchrom flash heads.

My 3 flashes (strobes) are Genesis 200 w/s. They are advertised as (speedring)compatible with Elinchrom. So, I purchased this octa Lite Softbox which comes with the speedring adapter for Elinchrom flashes only. Yes, the speedring works perfectly with my Genesis. The softbox is of excellent quality. I use it for portraits of my grandsons. I'm using this octa as the key light and umbrella for fill light but will be purchasing another Elinchrom soft box to replace umbrella. I did the initial set up by myself. There was a little bit of a learning curve, but not bad. Set up and dismantling now is relatively easy and the soft box stores away nicely in the included compact carrying case. I'm very happy the price also included the speedring.

I use this Item as a Location Key Light. Love its portability and easy set up. hard Crinkled silver interior and double baffle are great. Adapting ring connector not so reliable due to its connecting locking mechanism for Profoto.

The setup is easy and the product is very well constructed. It attaches firmly and securely to Profoto strobe with optional ring adapter B&H# ELPA .
Do not use any other adapters especially B&H # ELOMA, since they do not work.
The quality of light is superb. No comparison with an umbrella.
Disassembling is a bit more difficult than I expected, but this is the only minor fault.

Overall, this Elinchrom octa bank is great. The setup is a snap and the product is well constructed. While I have only owned it for a few weeks, I can see it lasting a long time. It seems very well constructed.
The integrated speedring design is awesome. Just a couple quick snaps and it is ready go. Tear down takes a little longer, but it is still quick. Overall, certainly better than standard octa and speedring.
The manual does leave a little to be desired, but it is still easy to figure out. Also, it is not one-handed setup. While still easy, it is not as fast as you would think. In either case, it assembles in just 30 seconds or less. Tear down is about the same.

Bought this along with the 600RX monolight kit by Elinchrom. Have owned other softboxes, including photoflex, lastlolite, etc., and these just exude quality. Very easy to put together. Great consistent quality of light. Comes with high quality carrying bag also.

This is a replacement for an older version of the octa lite bank. This softbox works well in many situations, including smaller settings where space is a premium. It produces a great quality of light, and the two diffusers add for some flexibility. The round catch-light in the eyes is also a nice bonus, and the fact that it folds up like an umbrella is helpful for a quick setup. Definitely a must-have for any serious photographer.

I purchased this softbox to provide a main light for an upcoming event (Breakfast with Santa) where I was taking lots of pictures of children. I am quite satisfied with this softbox. I had purchased the 53" and thought it was too difficult to setup, while the 39" was much easier. I needed a portable softbox for remote work. All I can say is its exceptional.
