Pelican 1620 Case with Foam (Black)
The Pelican 1620 Case with Foam (Black) is an unbreakable, watertight, airtight, dustproof, chemical resistant and corrosion proof hard case used to carry any kind of equipment that needs to be protected from the elements. It is made of Ultra-High Impact structural copolymer that makes it extremely strong and durable. It has a 0.25" (6.4 mm) neoprene o-ring, ABS latches that seal perfectly and includes an automatic purge valve for quick equalization after changes in atmospheric pressure.
The 1620 comes with two side haul handles, front haul handle, an extension handle and strong polyurethane wheels with stainless steel bearings. It has an effortless release latch for the extension handle. The padlock protectors provide added strength and extra security against cutting and theft. It is NATO-codified and tested to MIL C-4150J (Military Standard).
This case has a six-piece foam insert set.

I use this case to store my demo equipment: document camera, two netbooks, wireless slate, router, and 30 handheld clicker devices with all of their power/USB cables. It is perfect and allows me peace of mind when I'm checking it in at the airport. The roller wheels make it easy to maneuver and get from baggage claim to the rental car.

Another fantastic product from Pelican!
Four latches secure the lid of this case putting the owners mind at ease. I use Pelican cases for electronic equipment. Products rang from computers and external hard drives to photography and video equipment. The 1620 has ample depth for larger HD Video Cameras or multiple DLSR bodies and lenses.

I purchased these units to transport and protect a laptop and a small laserprinter in each. They work great. I also have the much larger 1660 case as well. Pelican makes a great product and you can not beat the lifetime replacement policy. I purchased the version with the "pluck-able" foam. This is really nice to customize the fit to your gear.

Pelican cases always hold up and are very easy to custom fit equipment in. I have used other cases and nothing compares to Pelican unless you want to spend 3 times as much having a custom case built. I use this to transport sound equipment overseas. Our group goes through some very rugged places and this product passes all the tests we put it through. It's very durable and the wheels allow for easy transportation.
The only issue I have is after I have molded the foam it tends to break away after time. Keeping in mind how often we take the equipment in and out, and that it is only foam, It's certainly not a huge problem; just a slight inconvenience.

This is one of the best equipment cases I've ever purchased. Expertly constructed, every detail has been paid close attention to by Pelican from the easily removable and customizable foam interior to the quick release handle and smooh rolling wheels. Solid as a rock without being too cumbersome or heavy, the thick rubber coated handles feel great in the hand. I don't think twice about using it to protect my most expensive and sensitive remote recording equipment.

I bought this to transport my show props to Mexico for some shows down here. I'm a trick roper and my ropes are cotton and affected by humidity badly. Now that I'm down here I'm using the waterproof sealing to dry my ropes out between shows by sealing them in with a chemical dehumidifier! The case is sturdy and safe and I will definitely buy more Pelican cases! LOVE it!
