The ASD-171p is an A to D convertor (Encoder); it takes an analog component signal and converts to SDI (Serial Digital Interface). This device has the ability to accept multi-television standards and three different component signals.

Automatic Standard Detection
This unit automatically detects the input standard; NTSC or PAL.
Signal Selection
The user can select Beta 0: For 0 IRE YUV sources, Beta 7.5: For 7.5 IRE YUV sources, and SMPTE: For SMPTE/EBU sources.
LED Indicator
Two LED's are available for input error status.
Compact Size
Measuring 4" long and 1" wide, this unit will fit in the smallest locations.
Input Stability
This device can be switched to input sources from a timed Studio input to a non-TBC VTR input.
