Comments about Sennheiser MZS-CAM Camera Mounted Shotgun Microphone Shock Mount:
I'm replacing mine after 8 solid years of use - international travel in a soft case. The plastic mount finally snapped -- my own fault likely from stuffing HVX200 in a backpack while mount was on camera.
Mount never caused me any problems and minimized movement interference. I use an ME66. Never had to replace a suspension band in 8 years! Mostly metal construction (except for shoe mount and hand tighten screw which are both plastic).

Comments about Sennheiser MZS-CAM Camera Mounted Shotgun Microphone Shock Mount:
My shot gun mic fits securely in this mount. The cold shoe fits snugly on top of my camera with option to tighten. String tension holders are strong, doesn't look like it'll snap anytime soon. Professional mount, great buy!!!

Comments about Sennheiser MZS-CAM Camera Mounted Shotgun Microphone Shock Mount:
• We use this product on our HD Camera along with a shotgun mic.
• Sturdy design at an affordable price. Previous versions we have used came with plastic bands that broke every other use. These seem to be a bit more durable and lasting.
• Replacement bands are sometimes hard to find when they do eventually break down.

Comments about Sennheiser MZS-CAM Camera Mounted Shotgun Microphone Shock Mount:
This does work and it is well made. I have an MXL shotgun mic mounted on a 5D. It is bigger than the intended Sennheiser mic, but still fits fine. It's all metal construction, but with a plastic hot shoe mount. This is good because it won't interfere with the electronics on the hot shoe like a metal hot shoe will.
The problem is that you can't look through the view finder with this mounted on the hot shoe. It is useless to me because I shoot mostly still with some video mixed in.
The work around I have found is to turn the unit to the side while shooting still w/ the viewfinder and turning it straight when you get ready to shoot video. Not the best, but it works.

Comments about Sennheiser MZS-CAM Camera Mounted Shotgun Microphone Shock Mount:
I have a Sennheiser mic ME64 (cardiod condenser). The shockmount just fits the mic, and may be a little short with the windscreen (I don't have the right windscreen yet.) Just be sure to check the measurements of your mic before purchasing.

Comments about Sennheiser MZS-CAM Camera Mounted Shotgun Microphone Shock Mount:
This one is made to last, comes with extra bands, and holds a short shotgun nicely on my Canon HV40. Even though the camera is tiny, it fits well and feels sturdy, unlike some other mounts that [...] likes to sell with the kits. Love it.
