Popular with fashion photographers for freely positioned, direct, and detailed light without harshness. Excellent for small interiors, or table top applications.
The ringflash fits all Acute power packs, and is an entirely moblile source of light. The adjustable tripod mount bracket and wide interior (100mm diameter) allows for fitting all types of cameras and lenses in many formats.
Optional Softlight Reflector increases the size of the light source, with fewer sharp shadows. Optional Close-Up Reflector focuses the light source 20" (50 cm) in front of the camera lens. With smaller objects, the effect is completely shadow free.
Maximum firing rate is 9600 w/s per minute, equal to 4 flashes per minute at 2400 w/s, 8 flashes at 1200, 16 at 600, 32 at 300, or 64 flashes per minute at 150 w/s. A power supply for this flash head is required.

Comments about Profoto Acute 2 Ringflash Lamphead:
I absolutely love this ring flash! I had never used it before and just got it a few days ago and I've tried with a few models and the results are fantastic! The models glow and have this crisp toned effect! I think I would like to use this as my main light for now on, I just have to understand how to combine this with my other D1's lights.
The construction is solid and it feels very high end.

Comments about Profoto Acute 2 Ringflash Lamphead:
After using many ringflashes, it came time to purchase one for my own instead of renting/borrowing...
I chose the Profoto because of it's 3 different light reflectors and the fact that it's made of metal and not plastic like the Hensel.
Although I own the Hensel Porty Premium it was easy to adapt the Profoto to allow it to work on either my Hensel Porty or a Profoto Battery pack.
Since I am fortunate enough to rent gear for my client shoots, I get to test equipment that way before I purchase for myself.
You can't go wrong with this Ringflash!!!
Comments about Profoto Acute 2 Ringflash Lamphead:
I am a product photographer, and this is the latest addition to my studio. i just got this this morning and did some test shoots today. it does what it does as it is expected. it is light and comes with bracket to hold your camera. with my 1D mk2 attached it is light enough to hand hold.
Expertise: Pro
Problems Encountered: Am i stupid for saying this? but how am i suppose to mount this on a tripod? If there is something I should have bought with this bracket, Mr.Profoto, put that on your catalog too.
