The Delta 66 PCI Sound Card from M-Audio is a computer desktop audio solution, consisting of a PCI card and a breakout box for the audio connections. It delivers 24-bit/96kHz audio and includes digital I/O for pristine file transfers and surround-sound pass-through. The external breakout conveniently provides four 1/4" TRS analog inputs and four outputs right on the desktop.
The PCI card contains a 36-bit embedded DSP chip enabling a software-driven patch-bay/router for all of the analog and digital I/O, with extremely fast throughput for low-latency monitoring. A single software control panel provides settings for clock and sample rates, buffer sizes, individual signal levels for every input and output, and digital I/O control. Ableton Live Lite music production software is included.

Comments about M-Audio Delta 66 PCI Sound Card:
Ever since avid has taken over M-Audio, most if not all driver related issues (which was a big deal not too long ago) have been resolved.
Probably the best thing about this card is the spdif I/O, which makes it easy for those who have multiple audio interfaces to sync them together. And for those who only have one 66, the spdif connections provide you the ability to add addtional interfaces in future without having to worry about keeping everything in sync. *If there isn't syncing you will have pops and clicks galore.
