Have used Tamrac lenses for years without problems. I bought this one (I own an older version of the same model) to fit my canon 100mm macro- lens only, no hood. Fits like a glove. This size also fits the canon 10-22mm (lens only, no hood), but it's tight. you can feel the widest part of the lens a little too much for my liking, but the case that Tamrac recommends for the 10-22 (just lens, no hood) is enormous, and the lens has 2 or 3 inches to bounce around, so I'm erring on snug than spacious--plus this fits in my bag much better.

It's great for protection for the lens which what I was looking for. The salespeople were very helpful at requests for suggestions. However the lens hood does not fit in the case but I didn't ask about that. Great company and service in my limited experience.

This is something we don't think twice about, but I will want to spend more time and approach this in a critical way;
The item does what it suppoused it - nothing to it...so it seems.
However, I think it could be improved if the top handle was detachable (just like the side one - so it could be hooked onto a belt or such)
Also, the snap on's are hard to secure...it takes a lot of force to snap them in securely, and I worry that I am using to much force when the lens is inside.

I bouth that case for a Canon 70-300mm lens, the only bad side is that I can't carry the hood's lens in the case as expected. Perfect for the lens alone, thigh fit.

I knew what I was buying and this case lived up to all my expectations. It is very good for storing my Canon ef 100-300mm lens, and the ability to attach it to my Tamrac 5627 digital pro 7 bag is a great feature. A very good modular system.

I use this on the side of a Tamrac Velocity 6x with a Canon 60D and swap between the kit 18-135 lens and a 10-22 wide. This pouch will hold either lens comfortably without being too tight (which can cause an expensive fumble if you're struggling to get your lens out). With the large Velcro+snap attachment tab it can also be moved to a belt for convenience.

It won't accommodate the 10-22 lens with the Canon lens hood attached, though (the lens hood is a monster).

I use this as protection for my tamron telezoom lens. You can wear it in your belt, but I prefer to have it in a bag. Maybe there should be a shoulder strap.

This case is well made and has a terrific amount of insulation surrounding the lens. You could drop your lens from a two story building in this case and have no damage.
The only thing I would be careful about is the size. I think this case is for medium size lenses, not large as stated. For example, it wouldn't fit my Canon, 100-400mm lens.
After I received the case, I bought several more for all my lenses.

I have several of their lens cases, and they do the trick, keeping my lenses safe with a little extra padding.

I use this case for when I want to only take two lenses, the one on the body and the one in the case. The main lenses I bought this for are the Canon 10-22mm EFS, 24-70mmL, and the 70-300mm IS. The case will hold any one of these very well. Note: I cannot fit the lens hoods in this case - which I knew ahead of time.

This case attaches perfectly to my Tamrac bag.It allows me to carry an extra lens so that I have everything I need rather than seeing the perfect shot and not be able to pull it off. It's well padded and strong.
