Wimberley P20 Overview

The Wimberley P20 quick release plate for lenses is made of silky-smooth anodized aluminum, with anti-twist flanges to trace the edges of the lens' tripod collar.  It fits all the Arca-type quick release adapters, which are made by many different companies such as Acratech, Arca-Swiss, Foba, Graf/Studioball, Gitzo, Novoflex, NPC and (of course) Wimberley.

Dual Safety Stops
The safety stops at the front & back of the Wimberley P20 plate prohibit your lens from accidentally slipping out of the quick release adapter (easily removed with supplied hex wrench if desired).
Double-Dovetail Cross-Section
The Wimberley double-dovetail design allows attachment of their Shape Shifter flash bracket system to the upper or lower surface of the P20 plate.
Works with All Common Flash Brackets
Drilled holes accept flash arms from Kirk & Really Right Stuff.
Combine with two Module 1 Quick Release Arms (B&H item code "WIM1") for a brilliant support base for using your long lens atop a beanbag.

The P20 was the right fit for my Nikon Z 180-600mm lense foot. Needed the Wimberley BS-100 3/8-16 to 1/4-20 Brass Reducer Bushing so that I could mount on both screw holes. Seems like it should come with the reducer. The slot in the plate is only big enough to have a second 1/4 screw, which is comes with. The plate makes balancing a long lense and camera kit much easier.

I had one of these for my Nikon Z70-200 2.8 and it is great, this one is for my Nikon Z 400 4.5 as they deploy the same tripod foot. Very satisfied.

According to Wimberley's plate compatibility chart, the P10 would be the ideal plate for your Nikon 200mm f/4.Micro. Both the P10 and P20 will work with the Wimberley Gimbal Version ll, and will include safety stop screws to prevent loosening of the plate. These will be separate from teh 1/4-20 screw that is also included with each model.

Yes, the Wimberley P20 Quick Release Plate attached to the bottom of the foot on the Nikon 400mm f4.5 Z mount lens.

The Wimberley P20 Quick Release Plate is the recommended plate for the Nikon NIKKOR Z 400mm f/4.5 VR S Lens, if you do not want to change the lens foot. If you have the Nikon NIKKOR Z 400mm f/2.8 TC VR S Lens, the recommended plate is the Wimberley P40 Quick Release Plate, BH #WIQRPP40 (https://bhpho.to/46fKlmq).
