I use these glasses at sporting events; i.e. viewing football games, batters box at baseball and horse races at the track. Wide field of view and clear, crisp images across the entire viewing area. Due to all the glass in the body, they are just a bit heavy, but an A-Plus for overall.

The binoculars were purchased for student use in our Biology and Ecology Classes. We chose the units based on prior experience with Nikon binoculars for wildlife observation. So far we have not been disappointed. They are holding up well to extensive student and field use. The case, though quite protective would benefit from a removable shoulder strap. Overall quite pleased with the purchase.

These binoculars are as advertised. Great field of view, bright and clear. Well constructed. We love the ability to focus down to 5 feet. The lifetime(25 years) guarantee is the real breaker though. I can't count the number of times I've ruined my glasses while out in the forest, and had to buy new ones. Nikon is truly customer oriented. And last, but not least, B&H had the best price [...] They're my first choice when it comes to cameras or optics.

Bought these binoculars for a young birder who is very happy with the choice. Easy to focus, good magnification, good in limited light situations and rugged enough for field use. Nice case and strap as well.

If you are looking for an excellent binoculars, and do not want to spend Excessive amount of money, I highly recommend. Compensation is many times the price. It is suitable for all: Basic observation, bird watching, and more. Texture binoculars have rubber part (reflecting no slip your hands!). I use the binocular mainly for field watch. I do some night sky watch as well, but it's not powerful enough to see much (except the moon).

Nikon Action 8x40 are a great bang for the buck. Very clear, lots of light collection, and smooth focus. Far and away better than anything you'll get at Big 5 or similar discount sporting goods store. [...] Glad I found these at B&H!

The low proce of these binoculars is no indication of their quality. I use them daily. They are rugged and the optics are bright and sharp. Very good value for money.

I use this to watch the hummingbirds that come to the feeders on our deck and when they are sitting in the trees in our yard guarding "their" feeders. These binoculars are of good quality and easy to use, especially to focus. I rated it 4 stars instead of 5 because they are a little heavier than I would have liked and the lens caps are easy to lose. Also, if I needed binoculars for more than birdwatching I would probably want more high-powered ones. Otherwise, I am very satisfied with my purchase, especially from B&H. I had no problems with my order and the price was great.
