Voigtlander Telephoto APO Lanthar 90mm f/3.5 Manual Focus Screw Mount Lens - for Bessa R & L and Other Screw Mount Rangefinder Cameras - Black
The Lanthar APO 90mm lens by Voigtlander renders beautifully focused portraits even with infared film. Lens barrel construction is a metallic affair, and a 10 bladed aperture creates pleasing unfocused highlights. Features the Voigtlander family's click-stop aperture movement at half-stop intervals.
A standard L-mount is used for this lens, making it compatible with Voigtlander Bessa R & L cameras as well as classic cameras from Leica and Canon with the venerable 39mm screwmount design. If you desire to use this lens with Leica M, Voigtlander Bessa T or Konica Hexar RF cameras, use the adapter ring (catalog number 45BD210A). This lens retains rangefinder and viewfinder coupling with all combinations.

It's quite smaller than it looks, actually. the build quality is metal throughout, and quite nicely finished. the focus throw is nice but not too resistive.
The colors look great on the chromes I shot it with.
Now, rangefinder focussing with even mild telephotos requires either a well-calibrated body/lens combo, or good knowledge of your equipment.
Out of the box, with the adapter, the infinity focus was fine by me, using 100 ISO transparencies on a light table with an 8x loupe.
It vignettes appreciably at 3.5 but that's the breaks. Such effect can also be quite nice.
It's not crazy-sharp I find, but there's little chromatic abberation on my slides and the price, focal length plus build quality make it a no-brainer for what it's on the market at, as of 10/2009.
