Comments about Tamron Zoom Telephoto AF 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 LD Macro Autofocus Lens for Pentax AF:
Have only had this lens for a couple of weeks, but it does a great job for me. the pictures are very good. It seems a litle slow on autofocus but nothing I can't deal with. A great lens for the price.

Haven't had this lens very long, but have taken hundreds of pictures with it already and am very happy with it. Have even taken some indoor hockey pictures with it and it focuses fast and the pictures look great.

Great lens. I was afraid at this low price it wouldn't perform well but it does better than my last more expensive lens that got smashed and needed to be replaced.

Comments about Tamron Zoom Telephoto AF 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 LD Macro Autofocus Lens for Pentax AF:
This lens is great, especially when your short on cash. As a buyer, your geting more than you pay for. I use this lens to shoot sports and paintball; the photos come out very clear and clean. The lens is also great for macro. The manual focus is very smooth, as well as auto focus. One thing that could be enhanced would be the A ring. It is very close to the camera body and difficult to unlock from the "A" position. Overall, a great lens.

Comments about Tamron Zoom Telephoto AF 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 LD Macro Autofocus Lens for Pentax AF:
It's not for a pro, but for the money IMHO it can not be beat. It took a couple of days to learn how to use it, but it was well worth the effort. My only complaint is, when using it in "macro" - it's not a true macro lens - you have to be extra careful when using auto focus. If you are not paying attention, it might focus on something you did not want to be in focus. When using the Pentax version, there is not a macro switch. You just have to be within the focal length and at the 300mm zoom setting. I have a K2000 and playing with AV settings help you get the picture you want.

Comments about Tamron Zoom Telephoto AF 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 LD Macro Autofocus Lens for Pentax AF:
First a disclaimer: I have no idea how to properly use this camera, the basic lens that came with it, or this new lens that I just purchased. I take a bunch of pictures and am pleasantly surprised that most of them turn out well. A friend told me that I could take better "portrait" photos of my son with this lens, so I thought I'd give it a try. Turns out she was right! Very sharp photos, easy to use, great for capturing outdoor shots. I think it responds slower than my original 18-55 Pentax lens, and the mechanism to zoom the lens is a bit stiff and hard to turn; I'm hoping it will loosen up a little with time and use. But considering the low price, I don't mind; it's an inexpensive way to expand my photography skills.

Comments about Tamron Zoom Telephoto AF 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 LD Macro Autofocus Lens for Pentax AF:
This lens was purchased as a relatively cheap means of getting closer to the action for my son's sports activities. My expectations were that it's not the best lens in the market, but I expect decent quality images.
I've not been disappointed.
Images have been clear and sharp and the autofocus has certainly been quick enough to keep up with the action, contrary to other reviews I saw.
My expectations have been met and exceeded and would recommend the product.
My shots to date have all been outdoors in relatively good light as well as cloudy conditions. Most shots have been with fast shutter speeds, but have still provided quality images.
The lens is short enough for easy transportation and is not too heavy. No lens creep experienced, with the zoom ring feeling solid.
In summary, for the price this is a great product.

Comments about Tamron Zoom Telephoto AF 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 LD Macro Autofocus Lens for Pentax AF:
I do really like this lens. Before I went out and spent a crazy amount of $ on a lens I decided to go with something a little bit cheaper and that would serve the same purpose.
Well I think Tamron totally under priced this item but I got lucky. The AF is a little slow at times but its nothing you can't handle especially if you don't want to spend the extra.
Good lens. Worth every penny!

I was looking for a good macro lens that would allow me more creative control over my subjects. Instead I got a great lens that allows me to take photographs the way I wanted and more! This is a solid dependable lens that doesn't have any abberations I would expect for a lens that is priced so low. This was the best purchase I have every made!

Comments about Tamron Zoom Telephoto AF 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 LD Macro Autofocus Lens for Pentax AF:
I have used this lens for two weeks on a Pentax *ist DS at the beach and in the desert. I have been shooting wildlife from birds to spiders (with the macro). While the auto-focus works well I find I am faster with the manual mode, but then I used a Pentax ME Super for 20 years so I had some practice. The lens is smooth and comfortable in the hand.

FAST on the autofocus and very suprising when using this for macro photography. For the price, can't be beat. I like this better than more tele lenses from my K1000, especially due to the light weight and strong construction. Only minus is that the manual focus takes some time to get used to. When focus is attained, lens does hold it perfectly.

A bargon of a lens! fairly bright image and gets you right into the action. seams like tameron under priced this lens. I am very pleased with the quality of the lens. I have only seen better image quality out of lens costing 5x more. For us not made of money this is a great lens. Dose not focus as fast as I would like, not to slow but average. Over all I love the lens and will deffinetly look at tamron for my next lens as well.

I've had this lens for about five months and I love it. It takes crystal clear pics in every aspect. Eventhough it's a little heavy I can't put it down. Wouldn't leave home without it.
