What size screws are needed to thread thru the base? I understand the length would be dictated by the thickness of the desk or wood going thru.
Asked by: Michael
The diameter of each screw hole on the base is 1/4". You can use either wood screws or metal screws to secure the base onto your desk and select the appropriate length for the screws depending on the material and thickness of the desktop surface.

Can someone share a photo of how they used a clamp instead of drilling holes in to the desk? Would love to see it successfully done and what material used to clamp.
Asked by: Tori
The base plate of the 12" riser that is included with the O.C. White ProBroom Deluxe Mic Arm is designed to attach permanently to the desktop using four screws. To give you a better example of a stand with a riser that attaches using a clamp, check out the Auray BAE-2X Two-Section Broadcast Arm with External Springs & Integrated XLR Cable (B&H # AUBAE2X).

question

How does the arm mount to your desk? I don't see any clamp mechanism typical of these arms.
Asked by: Anonymous
This is meant to be a surface or wall mount. The base has four holes for screws so you can attach it to a wall, a ceiling, or a window sill.
