I've been using this flash for the last two months with my Nikon D60 and am quite impressed with its performance. It is quick to recycle and very sensitive to the master flashe. I'm using it with a SB900 flash as master and have found that the two work quite well together. There is some adjustment I need to make (e.g., adjust the aperture) since it doesn't automatically couple with the Nikon's light metering, but once I do that, things are fine.

I've found that I prefer using this as slave over the SB600 flash because it is much more responsive, especially if I have the flash hidden behind a wall.

Strengths:
1. It performs well with rechargeable batteries.
2. Price
3. Ability to adjust power level
4. Sensitivity to the master flash

Weaknesses:
1. Battery cover is not well designed. Sometimes it doesn't hold the batteries correctly and won't power up properly. This is solved by opening the cover and shutting again.
2. I wish it had a audible sound confirming flash

Used flash for family portraits and reunion pictures. Good flash for while it lasted, but poor construction and after about 6 months of use; it started strobing and would not stop. Also, the foot broke off of the flash and required re-bonding to the flash unit.

I bought three and two were broken out of the box. The shoe did not work on one and the body of the second was comming apart. The battery cover on all three would not stay closed.

Can direct the flash, recharges fast.

Great for off camera flash. Powerful enough to bounce or shoot through to create soft light. Very versitle 4 automatic power levels. Easy to set up.

I use the digi-slave as a second flash off camera. It serves as a key light
while my Pentax in camera flash serves as a fill. It syncs up flawlessly by simply setting a trigger switch, no wire connection needed. The digi-slave has plenty of power, and allows the user to adjust the intensity through 5 settings. You can use it like you would a professional strobe light at a fraction of the cost. If you are looking for more artistic lighting
and not wanting to spend big bucks for your flash photography, then the Deluxe 3000 is for you.

I use this slave when my primary flash doesn't deliver enough light. I love the fact it has various trigger options, because I can use it with every camera I own, from a pocket point and shoot, to a semi-professional grade system.
