Wimberley has a system of flash bracket components that are modular, versatile and easily stowed in a small space when not in use. Known as the Shape-Shifter Modular Flash Bracket System, the components connect without tools. None of the combinations slip, twist or creep-even during intense action. They're integrated with the venerable Arca-Swiss type quick release system, now dominant as the industry standard for macro and telephoto shooting.
Wimberley's Combo 1 is a great flash bracket to use with a lens equipped with a tripod collar(with an Arca-type plate attached, of course)-and with the addition of the Module 8 perpendicular plate, you can use it with a camera as well. With Module 1 you have the ability to adjust the vertical distance between flash and lens, as well as the ability to put the flash off-center from the lens. As with all of the Wimberley Shape Shifter components, and unlike other manufacturer's products, the parts are captive to prevent detachment from accidentally unscrewing them too far while in the field.

Comments about Wimberley Telephoto Combo:
I use this flash bracket for bird photography and with my Wimberley Sidekick. As with all Wimberley products, the Combo 1 flashh bracket is well made and based on the Arca-Swiss system. I would not hesitate to recommend this bracket to any potential purchaser.

Comments about Wimberley Telephoto Combo:
This item does what you need it to do. It gets your flash away from your camera. It also keeps your flash pointed at your subject, no matter if your shooting in portrait or landscape mode. It attaches easily & securely to the lens plate. Has made a big difference in my bird photography.
The only con is the price. I've bought other flash brackets, not for the Wimberley though, for about half the price.
