Went to Africa on safari. I had a chance to look through many binocs and these were by far the best. It was a pleasure to look through them. Even our safari guide was impressed. You could spend more money, but for the price point I do do not think you could do better.

I purchased the Monarch 10 x 42 binoculars for hunting in Alaska. The optics are excellent. I would highly recommend as a great value for the price.

Excellent value in a pair of binoculars. While there are far more expensive options, the typical user would not benefit from the minor differences found in higher end glasses.

I agree with other reviewers that the lens caps are a bit irritating, but they don't get in the way.

These bonoculars are one of my best buys!
I use them for hunting and wildlife viewing and the 10x42 ATB are perfect for this.
The quality of these match up to the expensive brands. Nice and clear with great power and light gathering.
Nikon could have done better with the lense covers as the fall off very easy.
Great product ! would give a five star rating.

The ocular lens protectors are a bit of a nuisance to move out of the way. The superbvalue of these binoculars more than allows for the minor inconvenience. [$]

For finding and tracking wildlife these Nikon 10X42 are outstanding. Had a pair of lessor quality optics at 10X50 but the salt water eventually got to them. Didn't realize what I was missing all these years, the light capture and clarity of the Monarchs are the best I have ever used.

I was looking for a lightweight good quality binocular and these were mentioned in most independent ratings as one of the best in their price range. I have another good quality pair but these are MUCH lighter; you can actually hold them in one hand and view without getting arm fatigue.
The $50 rebate sold me and B&H had the best price and reputation of online retailers. I would have bought the camo model but they were not available (sold out). I also bought a harness so they are not hanging on my neck.

We use these binoculars for everything from up-close viewing at a concert to finding birds/animals on a safari. They are the best we've used - all our friends are waiting to borrow them! My husband wears glasses; I don't wear glasses. The ability to quickly change from viewing with glasses to viewing without glasses is a real plus.

I have used this for hunting in Norway for a while, and they are almost as good as my much more expensive Leica.
Time will show if they are just as durable.
It seems to me that the Monarch is a good deal when the price is compared to the quality.

I am an avid hunter that depends on a good pair of binoculars and these are the best for this. They are not real bulky and they pick up light very well and that is a great plus for early morning and late evening. Believe it or not you can put these side by side with some of the more expensive binoculars and these will be doing the job just as good or better for a whole lot less money. My brother and nephew also have these and we will have no other but the Nikon ATB's 10X42's. They are the best all around. Thanks Nikon...........

Needed a pair of bino's fast so I bought a pair of cheap Bushnell's at[...]... What a waste of money. After that trip I decided I wanted a decent pair of binoculars. Bought a pair of Nikon 8X40 Action Extreme ATB at the suggestion of the guy at the local sporting goods store. Used them for 2 weeks hunting and such. Decided I needed something a little more powerful. So I returned them & ordered the Nikon Monarch ATB 10X42 binoculars. What a difference. Lighter, very clear, much more compact. I love these. Honestly, the first real binoculars I have owned but now I know what I have been missing.

I bought the binoculars to use while hunting. The optics are good. The eye piece extensions are hokey and might prove to be a hinderance down the road. Overall, the price was good for the product. I would recommend the product with some reservations.
