Velbon QRA-635L Quick Release Adapter Set with Double Leveler - for 35mm Cameras
A wide light-weight magnesium quick release adapter with double bubble levels, the Velbon QRA-635L is a great fit for most of today's digital SLR cameras. It features a "Camera Safe" slide mounting quick-release platform with "Auto Lock" retaining system, and comes supplied with the standard 35mm-sized plate, but can also be used with the bigger QB667 plate made for medium format cameras.

I've used this product since 2002ish, and just bought a second for use with my tripod. Its main purpose is on my skydiving helmet for aerial shots. I love the light weight and solid components, no plastic parts to crack off.

This quick-release adapter performs its function well. A pop-up button holds the clamp open until you place the camera in place, and then it snaps partially closed. A quick push and it is locked in place. I lost my original adapter, but did not even consider looking for a different brand. My only negative on the original is that one of the levels cracked and lost its fluid.
