I use this to connect two Olympus lapel mics to my D-75 dictaphone in order to record interviews in noisy environments. The mono to stereo is important so that I get one voice per channel and can therefore make level adjustments with software back in the studio

When I shop at BH and there is that extra something I may need, well low and behold they usually have it! I use this y-cable for connecting my wireless and wired mic to my cam. It works well and it was priced right too! I wonder if they just have a shop under their store and just make stuff as needed, because it all ways seem to come up from their hiding place as you order it!!! LOL!!! your great BH!!!

I have been thinking of trying this for a while for my canon 5D mark 2 camera. I have had so many bad experiences with small mixers between the microphone and the camera, so I thought I would try without. And with this little cable it works perfectly. Two wireless or one wireless with one shotgun on the camera, it is much less noisy than with a mixer. And you keep the separation between the left and right channel. The only thing I really miss is the headphone, but that wasn´t totally reliable with the Beachtek mixer either, as you were listening to what you are sending to the camera, Not what´s actually recorded. So as long as you check the recordings in between takes, it usually works fine. And remember to adjust the levels to the items you are connecting so the Left and Right levels seems pretty even.

I use this cable with my 2 X-mini II speakers I received as a gift, in order to get a true stereo output. I works wonderfully! The length (6 inches) is just about right to keep the setup minimal. [...]

I use this to record two separate mono mics onto the left and right channels of my camcorder. Works well.
