Comments about PSC ALPHAMIX 4-Channel ENG/EFP Mixer with 4-Outputs, Dual Camera Feeds and 4-Power Outputs for Wireless Receivers:
Use for ENG applications, best bang for the buck. Considered buying different mixer used for about the same cost, but went with new AlphaMix. Thrilled! PSC takes great care of their customers.

Comments about PSC ALPHAMIX 4-Channel ENG/EFP Mixer with 4-Outputs, Dual Camera Feeds and 4-Power Outputs for Wireless Receivers:
Everything about this mixer I love, except that there seems to be just a tiny amount of harmonic distortion running through it. I drove the mixer to PSC in Valencia and the tech connected it to scopes and said it was fine, and he couldn't hear what I heard, so I let it go. But when I have the headphones on, and when I digitize my footage and hear the sound on my speakers, there just seems to be this faint little distortion. It's magnified when my videos are converted to Flash on YouTube. I've been doing sound for 6 years here in L.A. and I've never had a compliant about the quality of my sound, but it still bugs me and I'm seriously considering switching to the Sound Devices mixer. With that said, everything else about this mixer is amazing, including the fact that I can put one Lithium NP-1 battery into the mixer and power two receivers and one transmitter and run it for 10 hours and have plenty of juice for the next day too (if I couldn't charge it). If you buy it, listen carefully for distortion, and if there isn't any, enjoy.

Run-and-gun, or in controlled environments, if you have half a clue what you're doing, you can do no wrong with this thing. Be sure to read the manual, though. With great power comes many little switches, many of which have slightly cryptic markings on them.
Gorgeously clean gain on the pres and nice, safe headroom. Get big gain safely where it's most important: At the first stage. Nice, responsive channel pots, too.
A LIMITER YOU CAN TRUST.
BALANCED LINE OUTS PER CHANNEL (weird connector type, though--research it a bit).
REALLY PROFESSIONAL I/O IN MULTIPLE CONNECTOR TYPES
EXCELLENT MONITORING CAPABILITIES
Pretty good battery life.

Really enjoy this mixer. I use it with the extension card for the 8 inputs. Really helpfull with reality show shooting... but really heavy with 7 lectrosonic in the pouch.
Comments about PSC ALPHAMIX 4-Channel ENG/EFP Mixer with 4-Outputs, Dual Camera Feeds and 4-Power Outputs for Wireless Receivers:
On the set and in the shoot n scoot this mixer has performed well. Very well!I'm powering a bunch of Lectro 411's from this unit and that feature alone is indispensable! The mic pres sound fantastic, big warm smooth and quiet.Boom op doesn't show? No problem, just attach the PSC volume slider to your boom pole and you're all set! Ive had to use this feature on more than one occasion and I thought Id never need to. Glad it was there. They could make this mixer perfect if the put a curved LED instead of the LED. The LED is bright and fully functional, just not as shine as my 302. No big deal.Anyway the AlphaMix is a workhorse and a keeper.
Problems Encountered: LED is not as shine as a 302.

Very good mixer....Used it on many occasions..simple, everything's in front of you. TAKE 2 NP1'S IF YOUR ON A LONG DAY AND POWERING RECIEVERS...EASILY EATS 2 UP.
