Comments about Slik SDV-20 Video/Photo Tripod:
I use the tripod for everyday shooting, sometimes even in unstable or uneven environments, but the SDV-20 always remains as sturdy and still as anyone could ask for. While the construction isn't built for heavier cameras or heavy abuse, it's extremely lightweight and travels easily.

Comments about Slik SDV-20 Video/Photo Tripod:
I use two SDV-20 tripods for mounting off-camera flashes (Vivitar 285HVs) for lighting indoor of architectural photography.
For what I need, this tripod is great. It's portable, really light, plenty sturdy for what I'm using them for, the quick release is great for mounting and unmounting my flashes, and the nice case that B&H includes is "icing on the cake."
For this price, you can't go wrong - as long as you accept that it's a LIGHTWEIGHT tripod that's not intended to hold more then 3.3 lbs.
The only thing I don't like about this tripod is that the pan/tilt head is not meant to be removed. You can force it off the tripod, but do so at your own risk. My reason for wanting to remove the head is that the tripod is a couple of inches too long to fit into a carry-on, overhead bag for the airlines.

This product works perfect for what I'm using it for. As a High School TV Teacher, this tripod provides the students with a realistic understanding of what they are used for and how they can get better shots by using them! Also relatively durable and lightweight for the weaklings.
