It brings boom sound, mono compatibility, and convenient compatibility with windscreens. In ORTF stereo, use this holder for close miking pianos, overheads for drum kits, orchestras, and ambient sound recordings.
The holder allows you to arrange mics in both a coincident XY stereo configuration as well as in a near-coincident ORTF combined time and intensity difference stereo configuration. It comes with three common international-standard threads to easily secure the holder shaft to a range of microphone stands. DPA delivers extreme quality; start here.
