The Backet 1-A provides a practical solution for videographers in need of suitable mounting hardware for wireless microphone receivers. This particular device mounts to the tripod mounting plate (bottom) of most small camcorders, extending 4-1/2" forward and 4" to the right giving enough clearance for unobstructed mounting of most wireless receivers. Although designed for use with most camcorders, this model is completely compatible with the Panasonic AGD-VX100, Sony DSR-PD170, DX10, and DCR-VX series cameras.

I use this as a great sound gathering tool for my smaller cameras. More and more of my clients are asking for the smaller P2 or HDV cameras. Being able to have a wireless on board in coordination with the onboard mic makes this a great tool for the rapid shoot and turn around of news for my 24 hour clients. The only drawback is that it tilts the camera to the right. I have to work somewhat at keeping the camera level.

I don't know how I did without this bracket. Keeps the wireless receivers well out of the way while allowing full access to everything on my camera (DVX100B). A simple thing that is very useful. The only con is that I feel it is overpriced.

Mounts perfect, does not block focus & zoom rings, and looks professional. I put a vx2100 on top of a beachtek xlr adapter on top of the Bracket 1 (made for sony vx's). I mounted a couple of sennheisers and the balance was still pretty decent. Too expensive for what it really is, but I found no other solution besides machining my own.

I'm using this for run and gun mini dv cameras to mount wireless receivers. The way the receivers mount toward the front of the camera seems to be more out of the way than the rearward mounting brackets.
