An extremely fast wide-angle lens, the 35mm f/1.2 has an aspherical design to minimize distortion common with wide-angle lenses, and features an all-metal lens barrel construction and a 12-bladed aperture diaphragm which creates very pleasing out-of-focus highlights. Full rangefinder coupling is retained, and the aperture ring has click stops at half-stop intervals.
A standard Leica M-mount is used for this lens, making it compatible with the Voigtlander Bessa R-2 & T cameras, Konica Hexar RF, as well as the popular series of Leica M cameras.

Comments about Voigtlander Nokton 35mm f/1.2 Aspherical M-Mount Lens:
I use this lens together with a 35mm adapter for videography. The images render so organic it's unbelievable. I find myself looking at the footage in awe every time.
a couple quick things that could be an issue in videography:
1. Since it's a rangefinder lens there's no image stabilizing. You'll want the camera on a base all the time. Steadicam, Glidecam, tripod, sandbag, counter top, monopod, crane, anything other than handheld. It's just not an option.
2. At 1.2 it's a bit soft. But then again nothing else comes close. The same class of Zeiss is significantly slower at f2 and the Leica is even slower at f2.5.
On a closing note I would say that tests between the Leica Summilux 35 f1.4 is sharper at 1.4 then the CV at 1.4 but the cost difference is the definition of diminishing returns. Is the Summilux a superior lens then the Nokton at 1.4? Yes. Would I say the image difference justifies the price difference? No.

Comments about Voigtlander Nokton 35mm f/1.2 Aspherical M-Mount Lens:
After purchasing my first M8 recently,I really wanted a super fast "normal lens" without the really high Leica price. Unless of course it was for the 50mm f/1.0 Noctilux. The Voigtlander lens seemed sturdy, well-made and carries a great reputation. I have used it for the past month wide open and the results are crisp and contrasty. Great for photojournalism and wedding photography.
