As a professional audio reenforcement engineer (sound guy), I've had the opportunity to run BOSE professional systems including quad 502s with double subs. With Bose, everything always sounds crisp and bright, and I love these speakers, even thought they are so small. For the price, you will not find a better system for almost any home. No I'm not paid to write this. I use them with my computer to process live multi-track recordings. The frequency response and range beat pretty much everything out there. I prefer the massive volume of straight-on sound over BOSE recommendation to reflect off the walls, except for the sub, which is real punchy when pointed right at the wall about 8 " away. These give me the option to do either. Great stuff!

Sounds great, easy to set up. The subwoofer is placed out of sight, leaving just two little stacks of cubes to put on the bookshelves. I'd suggest using heavier duty wire than Bose supplies, however.

My Acoustimass 5 is connected to a Denon RCD-N7 receiver. The sound is so clear we can enjoy the music in the next room as well as the living room. The only negative is the big black box for low frequency sound. In our case that is not an issue because it is hidden behind a couch.

Simple hook up, speaker wire and good instructions included. Cube speakers sound great, a little soft on the bass. Good product for a simple compact speaker system, if you're looking for a full blown surround sound system this is not it. Good for the money.

I am running these with a Denon receiver that has 50 watts. They sound GREAT! If you are the type of person that thinks that bass that rattles your windows impress your neighbors these speakers are not for you. If you have grown up and enjoy perfect sound with great bass that goes with the music, you will love these speakers! They are for the mature listener that loves the true sound of music. [*]. I intillay purchased for having surround options for my Bose AM 10. Since AM10 is more sufficient for my home theatre room, i set this for Zone 2 speakers for my living room. This is simply awesome performance. I dont see any disortion or any nosie even if we keep at peak volume level.These systems create music and not loud noise ev en in high volumes. If you want to listen to sweet music, then choose this one. I own Onkyo TX-SR806 receiver and it work well with that for Zone 2. This is worth money [$].

I am actually using these speakers as part of a home office system. I have these hooked to a Denon Avr-1709, which is connected to a MAC Pro Desktop, and a high def cable box via hdmi. The sound is unreal, if you read reviews of bose systems on some other forums, and they are compared to other systems like the polk audio you will hear a good bit of negative comments. I have to say, I have these a polk lsi series set up, and car decked out in rockford power series (competition grade) speakrs and amps, and these still hold their own in comparison.
