Mine was delivered early March 2009 and the nut everyone talks about was correct, it fit perfectly. My additional comments: The height adjustment is pneumatic and it is hard to move the table up and down. When you try hard, the center shaft separates from the base legs. The bottom of the center shaft does not screw into the base legs, it's just pushed tightly into a big hole, so it will pull out. You have to extend the shaft by holding the bottom part of the shaft. BUT, there is a large adjustment bolt at the bottom of the shaft and if you lossen it, the pneumatic backpressure can be made less. Also, I was expecting to be able to use it without the roller feet, with just legs flat on the floor. But this is not possible because when the center shaft is pushed into the base hole it extends down too far and the roller feet must be attached. Otherwise this product does exactly what it is designed for, help posing.

The table is nice and solid. A five-caster base with asingle pneumatic cylinder and a smooth table surface. Thecasters are made of plastic, but they roll decently and havelockdown tabs to immobilize the table. The pneumaticcylinder prevents the table from crashing down in the caseof a mishap, but its action is very sticky and requires alot of effort to raise and lower.

    Expertise: Experienced

Problems Encountered: Construction for the most part was a breeze. The last step, however, required a bit of engineering ingenuity. The clampfor the pneumatic cylinder is a simple bolt and nutconstruction. The nut has to stay put in the clamp while thebolt turns. The problem is that the hole for the nut is toosmall. I returned my first copy of this table thinking thatthere was a manufacturing defect. After having received mysecond table, I realize that it is a design defect. I can'tbelieve Impact designs and mass produces a table withoutbothering to see if it can actually be assembled.Never fear, though, you can do what I did: Screw the nuthalfway down the length of the bolt and heat the nut with aflame torch. After about 30 seconds of heating, stick thebolt and nut into the hole in the clamp and press the nutinto the plastic. Press the nut as it melts into the plasticuntil the nut lies flush with the surface. Thread the boltthrough to ensure proper alignment before the plasticsolidifies.Once that's done, you have a nice table for a decent price.

Comments about Impact Posing Table - 28-48" (71-122cm):

Total piece of junk. The attachment from the plate on the top surface to the column is two small screws, which work loose and then get stripped very quickly. Adjusting them requires removing the plate--which is, ironically, attached to the top surface far better than the plate is attached to the column. The vertical adjustment lock is hard to turn, and you have to put some weight on the bottom and yank hard on the top to raise it up.

And don't even think of having someone lean on the table anywhere but in the center. The top will tear clean off, destroying the two weak screws that hold it in place in the process.

This table is well-suited for studio posing for close-up head-and-shoulders photos where the arms and hands can be positioned either on or gripping the table. Easily adjusted for various heights, it assembles with an included hex wrench and Phillips screwdriver (not included) in just a few easy steps clearly identified by the instruction page included.

I bought this table as a kit which included a posing stool. This table was very easy to assemble and is of great quality. I use this for all my senior pics and for portraits involving head and shoulder poses. This blends in really well when using a black backdrop and is not "shiney" and doesn't get washed out from the studio strobes. Its a little "stiff" when coming to raising or lowering the table but keep in mind, I would rather have solid resistance than a loose table that falls down when my client or thier children are posing on it. The wheels all roll smoothly and can each be locked to prevent rolling. Due to the quality of this table, I am positive that I will have it around for quite some time.

Comments about Impact Posing Table - 28-48" (71-122cm):

Like everyone else, my nut for the clamping knob didn't fit in the plastic hole it was made for leaving me with "which alternative am I going to use to fix?" I picked a new bolt (don't remember the size) with a washer and wingnut. The bolt's head fit in the plastic "nut" hole, holding the bolt fixed, while turning the wingnut. It's too bad B&H doesn't just go down to the hardware store for you and include this fix as it appears to be on every posing table.

The tightening bolt has a nut into which it screws. Unfortunately, the nut is too large to fit into the recess in the plastic collar so the bolt cannot be sued. I had to purchase a longer bolt and now to chsnge the height of the table, I have to use tools and it takes time. I would not recommend this product [...] to anyone!

Here I am reviewing what I thought to be a "Posing Table" and the list of "Best Uses" in the questionnaire list the following uses, asking to "Click all that apply":

                                              1. Amateur Recording
                                              2. Events
                                              3. Music Videos
                                              4. Performances
                                              5. Professional Recording
                                              6. Soundtracks

Clearly, this is a (bad) music stand, masquerading as a "posing table" - It's absolutely NOT quick to setup, although it's not complicated, but it is also VERY weak... clearly, just strong enough to hold a few music sheets, but ask someone to lean on it while they pose for you may have them end up in your lap or on the floor, as the table collapses under their upper-body weight - THIS IS NOT a posing table.

Also... the last thing you want under someone posing and leaning on this table is WHEELS! - I made a very bad choice!
