The AVT-3800 is an "up conversion" device for standard video; it accepts a standard television signal from composite, Y/C and component video sources and up converts to output to HDTV or Computer monitors.

- This device outputs to VGA and HDTV type displays using frame buffering and line doubling technology.
- Up Conversion
- Standard video is "up converted" to display on VGA and HDTV type monitoring devices.
