Beyerdynamic MC 836 Overview

The Beyerdynamic MC836 is a short shotgun microphone, designed for ENG / EFP, general video, crucial recording and sound reinforcement applications. The condenser element features lobe-cardioid and pressure gradient / line transducer principle which results in detailed audio reproduction without residual, off-axis noise or ambiance.

The MC836's very wide, linear frequency response ensures accurate audio reproduction throughout the spectrum. A low frequency roll-off filter switch suppresses proximity effect, wind and ambiance noise at 90Hz. An internal sound insulation eliminates noise below 40Hz. The MC836 is powered with 11-52V phantom power and is ideal for boom pole mounted and camera mounted applications.

Lobe / Cardioid Polar Pattern
The lobe-cardioid pick up pattern results in a focused pick up area at the front pf the capsule, while minimizins off-axis noise and feedback.
Wide Linear Frequency Response
The wide, linear frequency response results in transparent, accurate signal reproduction of vocals, instruments and more.
Low-Cut Filter
The low-cut filter switch eliminates hum and low-frequency noise below 90Hz.
Internal Insulation
In addition to the Low-Cut filter switch, a capsule aligned insulation protects against noise below 40Hz.
