The Kata Panda-402 GDC Backpack is a multi-purpose backpack that can be configured in many ways and used for a vast variety of equipment. The case has two compartments. The upper is usually used for the main equipment and the lower for accessories. A dual zipper approach enables separate access to each compartment or access to all your equipment at once. External and internal pockets provide storage for a range of accessories and personal effects.
The Panda-402 uses TST (Thermo-Shield Technology) padding to safeguard the upper compartment and the bottom of the case. Using the Modi-Vers divider system you can customize the interior to meet your exact requirements. A tripod can be carried on the Panda's side or in the central pocket. The bag meets the current airline specifications for On-Board luggage.
This backpack can be turned into a shoulder case by utilizing the Omega advance harness system. Can be used as a side pack by using the included BSS shoulder strap or it can be wheeled along on the optional DTS Insertrolley. The case includes a Double-Sided Elements Cover to protect your equipment from rain or snow and heat reflection.

- Audio: Carries a Kata Koala or other sound mixer bag in the upper compartment along with the rest of the sound accessories in the lower compartment.
- Photo: Carries 1-2 SLR bodies with 2-3 lenses in the upper compartment while the lower compartment can hold accessories or a laptop up to 15" long. A tripod can be carried in either a side or central pocket.
