Compact and easily packable alternative to a full sized tripod. coupled with a clamp, this is amazingly versatile. I have used it with a superclamp to run 90 degrees off a stand as well with very good results. Extremely sturdy. Love this

Nice and small, could be lighter, price is right. The top has a stud, but I would rather have a socket so I can pick my own stud without having to add a heavy universal adapter.

it fits nicely on lots of things you find in the field, but most importantly all my clamps like a charm.
it loses 1 star for not using a standard threaded top like most stands it mimics.
still, over all it gives reach any situation and it is built well also. I like it.
