The Apple 30" Cinema HD Display Flat Panel LCD Monitor is the perfect companion for your Mac or PC. Its annodized aluminum case is sleek and elegant, and lets you use two displays much closer to each other than ever before. Choose an optional VESA mount to install your display anywhere. Connect one or two displays via industry-standard DVI.
- Desktop Peripherals
- The Cinema HD Display 30" Flat Panel LCD Computer Monitor includes a FireWire 400 hub and a USB 2.0 hub, each with two ports. So you can connect a printer, scanner, camcorder or digital camera, whether you are using your display with a Mac or a PC.
- Effortless Adjustment
- The smooth motion of the hinge on the monitor requires very little pressure to tilt the monitor to a different position. This design allows you to you view the display at whatever angle works for your environment, anywhere from -5 degrees to 25 degrees.
- Pure Signal
- The Cinema HD Display Flat Panel Monitor provides you with an all-digital signal. DVI transmits a distortion-free digital signal from the graphics card to the display's screen. This digital connection gives you the full clarity and stability of liquid crystal technology, with sharp, clear pixels from edge to edge.
- Lose Controls
- A VGA connection requires controls for power, brightness and contrast, fine tracking and coarse tracking, white and black balance controls, as well as horizontal and vertical positions. Tucked away on the side of an Apple Digital LCD monitor are the only controls you really need: brightness and power.

Without doubt, the best monitor I have ever purchased. Matter in fact, we purchased 3. Flicker free, easy on the eyes, and darn close on colors providing you purchase a color calibration tool. If you are looking for a serious monitor that can seriously represent accurate color, look no further. Each project we go to press, or lab with, we are within 3 to 5% on color each and every time. Well within acceptability within this digital era in which we live. Remember the printed film based Matchprint? This monitor is better than that.
Real deal, buy it now. It's worth every dollar.

Also, the design is absolutely gorgeous, but overall it really fell short of my expectations, since the backlighting was significantly darker on one side of the monitor. I read about this problem before I bought it, but I figured that it had been ironed out, since these displays were released several years ago... wrong. This is not good quality control for a supposedly professional-class product, and it indicates that these items are not closely inspected when they leave Apple's facilities. Read all the reviews you can find before buying -- that's my advice.

I bought the Apple 30 " Cinema display to use with my Mac Pro and MacBook Pro for both video and audio editing. Its superb color gamut and incredible sharpness make editing high definition video and high resolution audio waveforms a true pleasure. Having owned many top end displays over the years and calibrating each one, the 30 inch Cinema from Apple is truly the "Top 'O The Heap." Kudos, Apple for an excellent engineering and ergonomic design. Worth more than the asking price, which is a bargain, given the quality. In the Apple 30 inch display, one gets form AND function!

I use it mainly for Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop and Premier. It is great to have such a huge amount of space to work in image processing. Image quality and colors are superb. Nevertheless, the luminosity is uneven since the display has 4 vertical darker bands from side to side. Bands are clearly seen when working with blue skies and moving (shaking) the image, as I do to detect and correct dust sensor spots. It does bother to find that issue in such a very expensive pro equipment. I use this Monitor in a PC computer.

Being a Professional Photographer who does a lot of post processing on a computer; color and dot pitch are very critical and I chose the Apple 30 inch Display over a variety of other monitors after a lot od research.
The colors are vivid and .25 dot pitch makes all the difference when each pixel counts.I also like the sleekness of the monitor.

This monitor is Great, hands down it has an impressive display that is the best on the market. I went from a dell 22 inch to this massive 30 inch and it was the best purchase i ever made to do video editing and the slide shows are so great there isn't enough WOW factor go do it justice. The controls on the side for brightness blend right in. I wear bifocals so i am picky when it comes to is this in focus etc. The Detail in a 30 inch photograph is incredible. It was a WISE investment.

This monitor is amazing. Apple surely makes only the best! The picture clarity is like nothing I have ever seen before. It is very thing and fits in perfectly with any surroundings! There are also 2 USB and 2 FireWire ports on the back. You can hook up your keyboard, mouse, and even camera up to the screen which is connected to your computer!
