I bought this and got pretty much what I expected; a simple semi-rigid sheet of material to use for a backdrop for macro and product photography.
The main downside, and what you don't get from the stock photos, is that it DOES NOT STAND ON ITS OWN. I use a couple of soft carpentry clamps to hold it to a table, which works just great. They don't get in the way because if I used a wide enough lens to catch the clamps, I'd also catch the strings and edge of the backdrop. You aren't likely to be shooting something heavy enough to hold this flat on its own.
Considering the price, I can somewhat overlook the need to clamp; a decent freestanding shooting table is substantially more expensive than this, and would take up a lot more room.
Cleanup is a snap. This is a very simple sheet of textured white plastic. I got some dirty water on it earlier; just wipe clean. The strings look easily replaceable too.
Honestly, there is not much to this sucker. Once you clamp it, you adjust the strings and you're good to go. Finish, roll it up and stick it in a closet until you need it again.

I bought the Infinity Board in order to photograph small objects. It works well except for the fact that it does not lay flat as the photo would have you think. I rolled it backwards for a few days in the hope that would correct it. Finally, I had to purchase a large clip to hold it down. This limits where I can use it as it has to be near a ledge and then lighting becomes a problem.

the board is a bit on the stiff side. it was hard to form it to proper shape for shooting. but eventually with lots of packing tape it was workable.

I've used this as a nice, clean background to highlight small objects, such as folded clothing, hats, accessories, etc. An inexpensive way to even out the lighting, too. Although it is lightweight, it feels pretty sturdy. Could be a little bulky for transporting.

With the use of a few table top lamps this background helps create excellent product shots. It can be set up and put away very quickly.

Not what I expected. It is very heavy plastic material. When I cut the tape on the bubble wrap - Whoop! It really wanted to be flat. The "front' surface is textured to help it disappear and be matte. The top edge has several holes to assist with hanging it up.
The picture on the website is a bit misleading. It does not want to stand up empty when bent, but just like a curved piece of plastic, it wants to rock. However this is very easily managed by using a small clamp to fasten the front edge to a table or using a small stand of some kind behind. One does have to be careful not to cast shadows with the 1/8th inch white ropes used to curve it. There are nice black push toggles like on bag closures on each rope for adjustment that work well.
Set up as shown in the website picture it is not very tall in back. One side is quite long and one side rather short when it is curved. If you clamp down one end or the other you can use it either way.
A bit tricky to figure out how to store compactly unless you just leave it flat, do not expect to roll this thing up, it really resists too much curvature which is why it works.
Great idea, don't know why someone did not think of it before. I have been using cloth sweeps in my light tents and they get wrinkles which need to be ironed out and are fiddly to velcro into place. This device seems to be a good alternative for table top shooting with or without a light tent.

We use this product for photographing childrens art, both 2d and 3d pieces. We have been happy with it's ease and usability. It would be nice if it could stand up on it's own - at this point we have to prop it against a wall and hope that it stays up. Overall, a great product for the price.

it definitely requires additional grips to keep it in place, but for small items, it seems to work well. the texture can be really obvious if you don't light properly, but other than that, I think it is good for the price.

It's a decent product for small product photography. Definitely takes some time and manipulation to get it to sit right. Some reviewers placed objects behind the board to get to stay up, but I found the little tabs that allow you to adjust the length of the cords worked just fine.
Not perfect, but a good little backdrop in a pinch.

Great board and very versatile. It is easy to take on the go and setup. Makes for great pictures. There is no weight to this board so you will need to use some clamps or weights if you have a lite object and the back is up.

I use this for products photography, and it gets the job done. It doesn't stand up on it's own very well, but this is easily fixable with a brick or box placed behind it. I wish it was a little larger, so that it be used to shoot slightly bigger items, but overall I am satisfied with the clean, consistent background it provides.

Main use is for small product photos for internet and advertising, watches, purfume, wine etc..
You need a stable frame to attach the top of the board, or it will keep rolling up.

This background does provide a seamless white background. The reflectivity is nice for a reflection under the object you're shooting, but it can glare from studio lights. It is small and easy to store, but it does not lay flat when it is unrolled, so you have to weight down the front edge when you use it.

A cheap and effective shooting board/backdrop! It's size is excellent for a great number of small object shooting situations and helps to balance lighting. Aids in producing professional looking shots very quickly and easily. My only complaints are that the product is a bit bulky as it does not easily roll up into a compact tube and is unable to hold itself up. You must tape or weigh the board down so it does not fall over or slip. Other than that, a very excellent product, especially given the low price!

I received my Cloud Dome Infinity Board today, and it's fantastic! Takes up very little space (I was able to use a TV tray to set up a few test shots), and provides a very nice, smooth background. I've had great difficulty finding a small, easy-to-use, high quality backdrop for small items, but this fits the bill. HIGHLY recommended.
