I was hoping to use this exactly as described "black matte finish allows photographing products with seemingly no background", but the product doesn't actually have a matte side. There's a glossy side and a textured side, but textured black plastic is still really reflective. I am hoping that adding a piece of black felt might help, but as sold, it doesn't really fulfill my needs.

Great board and very versatile. It is easy to take on the go and setup. Makes for great pictures. There is no weight to this board so you will need to use some clamps or weights if you have a lite object and the back is up.

It does not want to cooperate and lie flat. I have to put a book or some other weight to keep it from rolling up partially. I really want it to work so I persevere.

This product works OK, but has a couple of drawbacks... It comes rolled up so it takes a while for the material to "unroll" itself allowing it to be used withoug curling up on itself. This aspect makes this product difficlut to use. The surface consistency is "ok" but there are some areas that appear a bit lighter than others (stress marks in the material) that probably won't show up during use.
