I purchased the NB-4L to replace a so-called fully compatible OEM battery (claiming to "meet or exceed original specs"). The original Canon battery lasts longer (more than 200 shots typically), and has a better standyby time. I can't praise it enough and recommend that anybody who needs a second battery should buy the original, not a knock-off. I know this battery is not cheap, but for me is worth the extra buck and saves a ton of frustration.

I purchased this NB-4L as a backup battery for my Canon Powershot750. Although manufactured in a different country from the original battery, it's exactly the same in term of function and quality.
I have been using it as the primary battery for my camera during it's "trial" period and am very pleased to say there's no way to tell a difference between the two in terms of battery charge held. The new one may hold a little more just due to it's age.
Nothing negative to report at this time.
