The Sony LMD-7220W is a compact and lightweight dual seven-inch wide screen monitor and is less than two-inches deep. The rack-mountable monitor uses a 3 rack-unit size rack and is ideal for monitoring in production vehicles and studios. It incorporates a high-brightness LCD panel, which offers excellent picture quality even under high ambient light conditions. The LMD-7220W accepts NTSC and PAL composite signals with automatic switching. The aspect ratio is selectable between 4:3 and 16:9. An optional SDI input adaptor, the BKM320D, is available.

3-Color Tally System
Each monitor can display preview and program status through the tally lamps. Red, Green, and Amber (Red+Green) can be chosen using the parallel remote function, which allows control of the tally lamps via an 8-pin modular connector.
Selectable Aspect Ratio
The scan aspect ratio of the displays on the LMD-7220 can be switched between 16:9 and 4:3 by a button on its front panel.
