The DK-5 Eyepiece Cap from Nikon protects select camera's viewfinders from dust and moisture when not in use. It is also useful when using the self-timer or remote release functions in conjunction with long exposures, in order to prevent light from entering the viewfinder and affecting auto-exposure results.
