Comments about Weaver 3-9x32 RV-9 Classic Rimfire Riflescope w/ Dual-X - Matte Black:
I put this on a Marlin 795 that I picked up for 99.00 with rebate, brings total to $325 for an ultralite very nice setup for my 9 year old.The Marlin 795 weighs 4.5 and the scope is just under 12oz. This scope sets him up for the next level, definitely worth the extra money.

Comments about Weaver 3-9x32 RV-9 Classic Rimfire Riflescope w/ Dual-X - Matte Black:
This is my third scope upgrade for my 10/22. Started with an inexpensive Bushnell 3-9 x 32 and then upgraded to a Simmons 3-9 x 32 AO. I thought that was a pretty good scope, but a direct comparison to the Weaver definitely highlighted the improved clarity and brightness of the Weaver. Better eye relief and more forgiving on the angle before image blinks out. Also it is lighter and a bit more compact. Nice scope for the 10/22 and the most I would spend on one for that gun. Adjustments would be better if no tool required.

Comments about Weaver 3-9x32 RV-9 Classic Rimfire Riflescope w/ Dual-X - Matte Black:
I have owned this scope for over a year now. I use the scope on a Ruger M77/22 that I converted from 22 LR to 17Mach2. The scope replaced a 1960’s vintage Weaver K10. The rifle is used to reduce the gopher population in our local rural country cemetery, 68 so far, and to hunt squirrels and rabbits. The 9X setting is great for the gophers while the 3X to 6X is better for squirrels and rabbits. The adjustable objective works great for the small targets and varied ranges this rifle is used to shoot. I had to buy some higher offset rings for the Ruger to get the scope mounted properly.
The only complaint I have is with the windage & elevation adjusters. Weaver used to use thumb knobs with definite clicks both heard and felt as the knob was turned. There was NO COIN required to make the adjustment. Some of their new scopes have gone back to thumb knob method, but not this scope. This was a great feature. It is too bad this was left off of this model.
This was an excellent value for the features included on the scope. The gophers hate it!
